Celtic Woman begins tour in Roanoke
The Irish music group Celtic Woman begins a new 59-city, four-month tour in Roanoke this week, but the group got to town last week to begin rehearsing. The tour is called "Songs from the Heart" featuring material from a new CD and D-V-D.
Celtic Woman's Chloe Agnew says this is all new material, and she says the first show is always the best, "with lots of nervous energy." Agnew says she's always surprised by the wide appeal of Celtic Woman, saying it attracts "the most random kind of fans," and says it has become very much a family show. Agnew has been with the group since it formed five years ago. At 20, she's the Celtic Woman's youngest member.

Celtic Woman will be in at the Civic Center's Performing Arts Center Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
