Freakonomics author makes Roanoke appearance
The author of a popular book with unusual takes on economic issues speaks Tuesday night in Roanoke. Stephen J. Dubner is co-author of "Freakonomics." His says the new "SUPER Freaknomics" looks at how history is full of simple solutions to big problems. He says something considered a big problem today, Global Warming, might have such a solution. His book also has interesting angles on such things as hospital emergency rooms and the birth months of professional athletes. Dubner speaks tomorrow night at 6:30 at the Jefferson Center's Fitzpatrick Hall.
