The new Star Cam is up and running. The web cam offers the view from the Mill Mountain Star. The city installed the cam in April...it will serve as a way to show off the city and promote Roanoke on the internet. The real-time camera is mounted on the star’s frame with a sign beneath it that says, “If you are standing on the overlook, you are on StarCam! Call your family and friends and have them go online to see you on camera.” The city hopes Star-Cam will increase awareness of Roanoke--regionally, nationally and globally.
