The Roanoke Police Department is asking for help identifying a person of interest who may have information on a fatal hit and run crash. Officers responded to the intersection of Williamson Road and Sycamore Avenue Friday, May 2nd shortly before 11:00 p.m. A vehicle hit a pedestrian and fled the scene. Bernard Abram of Roanoke was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he later died. Police want to speak with a man seen with Abram shortly before the accident. He man was seen inside the Cigo convenience store in the 17-hundred block of Williamson Road. Roanoke Police say anyone with information should call them at 540-853-2211 or Crime Line at 540-344-8500.
