State tourism officials are going green to attract more visitors to Virginia. The Web site is dedicated to environmentally friendly travel in Virginia. That includes more than 140 lodging destinations, state parks, and outdoor adventure programs. To be certified "green,'' a business must commit to waste-reducing activities, such as recycling, purchase environmentally friendly products, and take other steps that are kind to the environment.
