Afternoon Anchor/Reporter

I’ve been in radio since 1982, when I went to work for my father’s AM radio station in Fairview, Tennessee.  The 500 watt daytime station provided me with a good base of knowledge, working in pretty much every area of the station.  

Over the next 25 years, I programmed radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee, Charleston, West Virginia, Birmingham, Alabama and Radford, Virginia.

Most of my work has been as a programmer, disc jockey, music director and newsman for a variety of formats, ranging from country to oldies and rock to news/talk.

I also taught communications and news operations in two university settings:
The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and Gadsden State College in Gadsden, Alabama.  I have Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Tennessee in communications with emphasis on radio station management, and graduated with honors from Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1982.
